Nigeria's Democracy; House of Comedy [A poem] by WAHAB Mubeen Olorunkuse.

 House of Comedy

House of Comedy

While they sit up there

sharing our national coffers

into their full filled tummy

and reserve for their children,

we all laugh.

While they drink and get drunk

from our national dam and all

we could get is a drop,

we all cackle.

While we crawl after scrumps

from their tables like snail

and step on us as accelerator,

we all titter.

House of comedy acquits swindler,

inculpate victims. In the house of

comedy steal little, you'll be jailed,

steal big you'll be praised.

What a queering moment of comedy satirizing the uproar of the Ambassadors of poverty.
