Nigeria's Democracy; Demon Must be Crazy [A poem] by AJILORE Abolade Esther

DEMON MUST BE CRAZY

How possible is it for us to whine

And dine while our sun lest shine?

Our father's land stops honey drop.

Our veins soaked terror tumor prop.

The saints we saw turn demons.

How can we visualize the obsure

when lips of masses are cut with sword?

When we drink our tears and ignore the cure?

You say it is by us, of us and for us.

The demon we saved pulled the trigger.

You have the shoe and kept the heel

Our foot are bare for us to bear.

You ask for voice and kept our tongue.

The power of the people must be crazy.
