Nigeria's Democracy; Tribute to M.K.O. Abiola. by AKINDUNBI Ayodele Daniel.

 "For MKO Abiola"

    [ The life and existence of the orange tree came by the did of the cutlass; likewise the death and demise of the orange tree!]

      'Why on earth would you assume!

      Why on earth would you be chained to change!

      Why on earth would you believe their words!

      The words you preached were not theirs!

      The paths you tread were not theirs!

      Only if you could see these mess!

    The poll was free and fair;

    The nation, unfree and unfair.

    We still live in the shackles of June 12; it pricks!

    But, this earth is your brother, and everything within.

    If I command you not to eat the things of the earth,

    Is like killing you once more.

    But, whatever they may eat in that world; partake!

    A dead body cannot be guilty of double crimes

    You died, because you need to live!
